Ensure your hotel lighting provides a memorable experience for guests. Whether it’s a stunning bespoke light for your reception or fixtures for the suites, explore our collection of traditional and contemporary light fittings, ideal for hotel rooms, bathrooms and receptions.
Hotel lighting has to do two jobs at once. It has to create the atmosphere guests remember, and it has to survive the reality of a working hotel: daily use, cleaning regimes, and thousands of guests who will never handle a fitting as carefully as you would.
That combination is where we come in. Fritz Fryer designs and makes hotel lighting in our Herefordshire workshop, as we have since 1982, working with hoteliers, interior designers and architects on everything from single boutique refits to full new-build schemes. Because every fitting is made to order, we can match an existing design, adjust scale for a double-height lobby, or produce consistent runs of wall lights and pendants across bedrooms and corridors.
Our range covers statement hotel chandeliers for stairwells and entrances, hotel pendant lighting for bars and dining rooms, and hotel wall lights built for contract use, including long-drop cluster chandeliers for atriums and stairwells such as our Long Drop Stairwell Cluster Chandelier. We also restore period hotel lighting, so a listed building’s original fittings can be brought back to life alongside new pieces made to match.
Tell us about your project and we will be honest about what will work, what it will cost, and how long it will take.
Hotel reception lighting needs to make an entrance and still be practical. A statement chandelier or large pendant gives the focal point, supported by wall lights for warmth at eye level. For double-height spaces, a long-drop cluster chandelier fills the vertical volume. Fritz Fryer makes each of these to order, scaled to your space.
Yes, and this is one of the most common things hotels ask us. Because every fitting is made to order in our own workshop, we can match finishes, replicate designs, and produce new pieces that sit naturally alongside your existing lighting. We also restore original period fittings where you want to keep them.
Yes. We work with hoteliers, interior designers and architects on projects from boutique hotels to large schemes, producing consistent runs of made-to-order fittings across bedrooms, corridors, bars, restaurants and public areas. Contact us with your brief and we will advise on quantities, lead times and pricing.
Yes. Restoration is a core part of our workshop’s work. We restore and rewire antique hotel chandeliers, lanterns and wall lights to modern electrical standards while keeping their character, and we can make matching new pieces where originals are missing or damaged.
Lead times depend on the size of the scheme. Single fittings typically take a few weeks; larger project runs are scheduled with you at the outset so they land when your fit-out needs them. We will always give you a realistic date before you commit, and flag anything that could slip.
Yes. Our fittings are designed and made for commercial environments as well as homes: solid materials, hand-spun brass and proper construction rather than decorative lightweight parts. They are made to withstand daily use in public spaces, and everything is wired and tested to current standards before it leaves the workshop.
Honestly, it varies enormously: a single statement chandelier for a stairwell can cost anywhere from the low thousands upwards depending on size and specification, while bedroom and corridor runs are priced per fitting with economies in volume. Tell us the scheme and we will quote precisely, including options at different price points.
Yes. Our fittings work with dimmable LED bulbs and standard dimming systems, so lobbies, bars and restaurants can shift from bright morning service to evening atmosphere, and bedrooms can offer guests proper control. We can advise on bulb and dimmer pairings for each fitting.
