This 1930s double rise and fall pendant carries its age beautifully. The oxidised copper frame has developed a depth of tone that only time can create – rich, warm, and entirely unforced. Nothing about it feels replicated or staged. It’s honest.
The original Art Deco shades are still intact – frosted glass with delicate gilded detailing that catches the light just enough. When illuminated, they soften the glow and create that gentle, considered atmosphere the 1930s did so well.
The rise and fall mechanism remains both practical and poetic. It allows the height to be adjusted with ease – perfect over a dining table where mood shifts from everyday supper to late evening conversation
We’ve sympathetically restored and rewired it in our Herefordshire workshop, ensuring it meets modern standards while preserving every original detail worth keeping. It’s ready for another lifetime.
