This superb antique ceiling light was made by F and C Osler and has an original satin glass bowl with beautiful details and comes with its original chain.
It is finished in silver plate and called a plafonnier (the translation from French meaning light fixture hung from the ceiling, but generally used in the antique lighting trade to suggest a light with an upturned dish such as this one).

This superb F&C Osler antique ceiling light with it’s beautiful original satin glass bowl is a plafonnier that was hand restored by James in our on-site workshop. It came to us in a sorry state and needed re-silvering, and significant repairs, but it is magnificently restored to its former glory.
It is a large light fitting with a significant presence which may not be clear from the photos!
