Detailed description

Description

This three-branch electrolier dates to the Edwardian period, around 1910, and is a substantial, beautifully proportioned piece with a real sense of presence.

Formed in brass, the electrolier features elegantly shaped arms with a fluid, organic flow. Each arm supports a lightly frosted, pale pink glass shade, moulded in a classic tulip form. The soft colour and gentle diffusion of the glass create a warm, flattering light that feels particularly well suited to more intimate spaces.

The central body is especially pleasing. A circular globed base anchors the piece, detailed with a distinctive banded brass collar – that subtly frames the junction where the arms emerge. This layered construction adds depth and visual interest without distracting from the overall form.

One of the most appealing aspects is the natural variation in the brass finish. Polished highlights on the central body contrast beautifully with the gently aged patina of the arms, creating an interplay of light and dark that speaks to both age and quality.

Versatile in scale and character, this electrolier would sit comfortably over a dining table, in an entrance hall, or even in a bedroom, where the pink glass shades and warm brass tones can be fully appreciated.
