Dating from the 1920s, this wonderful antique floor lamp features a beautifully proportioned tri-footed brass base and an adjustable stem, allowing the height to be altered to suit its setting.
Originally made as an oil lamp, it has since been sympathetically converted for electric use, while retaining the character and detailing that make the original piece so special.
Where is it best suited?
This floor lamp would work particularly well beside an armchair or sofa in a sitting room, drawing room, library or reading corner, where its adjustable height can be both practical and decorative.
Its traditional brass finish makes it a natural choice for period properties and classically styled interiors, but it could equally bring warmth, age and contrast to a more contemporary scheme.
